Mothers' Beach is a shallow, sheltered beach that is, as its name suggests, much appreciated by mothers with young children. A proposal, in the 1980s, to build a restaurant out over the water was successfully rejected, with effective opposition by the Furnishing Trades Union. MORNINGTON
